The Old School
The old Hannan campus, located at 2501 Archbishop Hannan Blvd. Meraux, LA 70075, was destroyed by Hurricane Katina. The campus held a pool, basketball/volleyball gym, football field, softball field and baseball field. Recently installed "Professional Quality Lights" where also present at both the baseball and softball fields. The school held two wings the Science Wing, which was parallel to Arch. Hannan Blvd., held two science labs, a language lab, a computer lab, and three additional classrooms. At the intersection of the Science Wing and Main Hall was the library. The "Main Hall" perpendicular to the other hall held the Front Office (where the the morning announcements where held), the guidance center, the chapel, and several other classrooms. At the end of the Main Hall was "The Breezeway" a small four directional room. From the Breezeway you could turn left and head to the Fine Arts Building, turn right and head past the vending machines and into the "Commans" and eventually into the baseball and softball fields. Or you could continue through the opposite pair of twin doors and find yourself in the cafeteria. The cafeteria opened into the gym, the girls locker room or the weight room. After walking through the weight room you found yourself at the pool (formally a trailer that contained the band room) and Hawk Stadium (the football field). The Fine Arts Building, the newest and the only two story Building on campus held a theater on the first floor, an art room, journalism office, and band room on the second floor. Also there where several vacant rooms used for storage on the second floor.
