Thunderstrike

Thunderstrike can refer to:

• A lightning strike.
• One of several Marvel Comics superheroes with powers based on Thor:
  • Thunderstrike (Eric Masterson), the original Thunderstrike
  • Thunderstrike (Kevin Masterson), his son, the Thunderstrike of the MC2 universe.
• Thunderstrike (game), a 1990 computer game published by Millennium Interactive.
• Thunderstrike 2, video game released by Core Design in 1995
• Thunderstrike (Apple Virus), A notorious sideband BIOS Virus discovered in 2014 that allows spies to attack an unattended Mac Computer by plugging a special thunderbolt dongle into a Apple Mac Computer and to replace the boot bios with a virus without needing have login control of the computer. This is possible since the thunderbolt bus allows either side of the port to be the master device (much like the new USB 3.1 standard), traditional PC Computer buses, previously, only allowed mastering from the Computer side of the port, and not the device (USB verison < 3.1).
