Fungistatics
Appearance
A product is fungistatic when it inhibits the growth of fungus within a given solvent without killing the fungus found already within it.[1] Sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate are both examples of fungistatic substances that are widely used in the preservation of food and beverages.[2][3]
