I'll take a crack at it

[edit]

According to most secondary sources (which WP tries to stick to whenever possible), women are disproportionately victims of violence in two ways:

  • they get targeted specifically for their gender a lot more (as opposed to being soldiers, for example - true enough), and
  • the ratio of violence committed by to against women is much lower than with men (debatable, due to the very under-representation issues discussed in that article, but it's not WP's place to question the mainstream, per WP:SYNTH and WP:OR).

This isn't really relevant to the AfD discussion, so I recommend keeping it out of there, but there you have it. Random (?) 04:29, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
