Anatole Abang (born 6 July 1996) is a Cameroonian professional footballer who plays as a forward for the New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer.

Career

Early career

Abang was born in Yaoundé, and started his career with local side AS Fortuna de Yaounde.[1] His rights were subsequently purchased by FC Rainbow Bamenda.

New York Red Bulls

In early 2015 Abang went on trial with New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer. Abang impressed during the 2015 pre-season and on March 5, 2015 the Red Bulls announced that they had completed Abang’s transfer from Rainbow FC.[2] Abang made his professional debut for New York on March 8, 2014 coming on as a second half substitute in a 1-1 draw at Sporting Kansas City. .[3]

International

Abang has represented Cameroon at the Under-17 level, making his debut with the squad in 2012. He is also a part of Cameroon’s Under-20 player pool.
