Shilpi Somaya Gowda (born December 9, 1970 in Toronto) is a Canadian novelist. She is the author behind the NY Times, USA Today, IndieBound and #1 International bestseller Secret Daughter. Gowda was born and brought up in Toronto by her parents who had emigrated from Mumbai. She now lives with her husband and kids in San Francisco,California.[1]
