The Centralian Advocate was founded in 1947.

The Centralian Advocate [1] was first published in Alice Springs on 25 May 1947 as a bi-weekly newspaper. Jim Bowditch, later editor of the Northern Territory News, was the first editor.

Published twice a week (Tuesday and Friday), the Centralian Advocate is part of [News Corp].
