Music Fest Perugia is a festival held since 2007 in Perugia, Italy for young talented musicians every year in the summer.

Formation

The festival was founded by Ilana Vered and Enrique Graf in 2005 in Monte Castello di Vibio, Italy hosting 8 students in it's first year. In 2007 the festival moved to the city of Perugia and has since grown, currently hosting 150 students, 57 proffesors and 2 orchestras.[1][2]

General Information

Many students from all over the world get the opportunity to play with an orchestra as well as participate in lessons, master classes, play in marathon recitals and in chamber music events, listening to the masters playing in a special recital and producing an opera.[1]

"One of the things that makes it special is that it’s a very rare thing for a young performer to play a concerto with an orchestra. That was the main idea of the festival – get an orchestra, get students to play"
