Alan Lee (born August 21, 1978 in Galway) is a professional footballer for Coca Cola Championship club Ipswich Town He also plays internationally for the Republic of Ireland.

He plays as a striker and is 6'3" foot tall. He began his career as a trainee with [[Aston Villa F.C.|Aston Villa], turning professional in August 1995, although never made the first team at Villa Park. His league debut came after joining Torquay United on loan in November 1998, scoring 3 times in 9 games. In March 1999 he joined Port Vale on loan, leaving Villa in July that year when Burnley signed him for £200,000. He moved to Rotherham United for £150,000 in September 2000, scoring 36 times in 114 games for the Millmoor side. In August 2003 he moved to Cardiff City for a fee of £850,000 and in January 2006 joined Ipswich Town for a mere £100,000.

This was Joe Royles last signing for the club, and it turne out to be a great one. Lee is a fans favourite with his strong runs and great work rate. This has earned him the legendary no. 32 shirt (old Kuqi number). He is expected to be freescoring in the 2006/2007 season. Template:England-footybio-stub
