David R. Craig is the Harford County Executive and was sworn in on July 7th, 2005. He was proceeded by Jim Harkins who resigned to become director of Maryland Environmental Services.

He was the mayor of Havre de Grace, MD in 1985, 1987, 2001 and 2005. In addition, he was an assistant principal at Southampton Middle School in Bel Air, MD. He resigned from both positions upon swearing in as the county executive.

He is currently running for another term.
