Seoul National University Law School (also known as SNU Law) is one of the professional graduate schools of Seoul National University, located in Seoul, South Korea. Founded in 2009, it is one of the founding law schools in South Korea andl is generally considered one of the most prestigious among the Korean school schools. It is also the largest with each class in the three-year J.D. program having approximately 150 students.

It is about 13.50 million Korean Won per year[1].

Controversies

  • There has been an accusation for age discrimination because of lack of students older than 30 among the admitted students[2].
  • There has been the criticism for admitting only the top ranking colleges since nearly 88.0%(810) of the admitted students were from the top three colleges in South Korea and almost none from the universities outside the Seoul metropolitan areas[3].

Law Library

Established in August 1946, Seoul National University Law Library had a new opening on June 30, 2014. At present, the domestic law library has holdings in a total of up to 155,055 volumes of collections<Ref> Seoul National University Law Library </ ref>.
