  • 0000 UTC, (1200 FST) – RSMC Nadi reports that Tropical Depression 01F has formed 35 km (25 miles) southeast of Avarua, Cook Islands.[2]
  • 1200 UTC, (0000 FST; December 1) – RSMC Nadi reports that Tropical Depression 01F has intensified into a category one tropical cyclone and names it "Trina". Simultaneously, they report that it has reached its peak 10-minute sustained wind speeds of 75 km/h (45 mph)[2]
