Because information on Wikipedia can and does change, rather than asking him on Twitter if the currently displayed birthdate is correct, it would be better to get him to specifically confirm in a Tweet that May 16, 1973 is correct. Why, you may ask? Let's say someone changes it to June 12, 1968 and no one catches this. Then, the citation has someone asking if the date on WP is correct and him saying yes, and therefore people would assume that the incorrect date is correct.
