Executable is an upcoming independent thriller starring Ethan Hawke and Michael Pitt about a hacker hired to steal an artificial intelligence program written by an autistic teenager gone missing.

Development

The screenplay for Executable was developed by writer/director Zachary Parris while working at Quantic Dream and eventually placed in the top 1.9% of the 2015 Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. The film is currently slated for a 2016 release with production scheduled to begin in late 2015 with locations in Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Marseille.[1] Enterprise software company Canonical will be providing technical consulting and code snippets for use in the film.[2]
