Ahmir is a group of four male R&B/pop singers who are based out of Boston, MA.[1] Ahmir is mainly known for their appearance on season 2[2] as well as their YouTube channel of America's Got Talent. With over seventy million views, they are one of the most viewed R&B groups on YouTube.[3][4][5][6] The band was originally named One Love, but changed to Ahmir (Arabic for "prince" for copyright issues.[7][8]

History

Sing-Sing Started his career at Berklee College of Music before he met up with the group in Boston. Big Mike started by being in a Boys Choir in Harlem, and then continued his career at Boston University,[8] majoring in music. KC and Mr. Jones grew from their raw talent and through training in church. The group then went on to join NBC's America's Got Talent.[9] After Americas Got Talent, the group then released their first hit single in 2006 Welcome To My Party this single came out at #82 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.[10] They have currently been signed on to Robbins Entertainment RED/Sony Music.[11]
