Ahmir is a group of four male R&B/pop singers who are based out of Boston, MA.[1] Ahmir is mainly known for their appearance on season 2[2] as well as their YouTube channel of America's Got Talent. With over eighty million views, they are one of the most viewed R&B groups on YouTube.[3][4][5][6] The band was originally named One Love, but changed to Ahmir (Arabic for "prince") for copyright issues.[7][8]
History
Sing-Sing Started his career at Berklee College of Music before he met up with the group in Boston. Big Mike started by being in a Boys Choir in Harlem, and then continued his career at Boston University,[8] majoring in music. KC and Mr. Jones grew from their raw talent and through training in church. The group then released their first hit single in 2006 Welcome To My Party this single came out at #82 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The group then went on to join NBC's America's Got Talent.[9][10] They have currently been signed on to Robbins Entertainment RED/Sony Music.[11] In 2013, group performed with Jimmy Fallon[3]
