George D. Hindori (born August 13, 1933) was a surinamese politician widely considered the driving force behind the independance of suriname from the netherlands on november 25, 1975.
On January 30, 1979 he was decorated as 'officier in de ere orde van de gele ster' along with his colleagues who formed the 'staten van suriname'
