Mono Inc. is a German Gothic Rock band from Hamburg, Germany, which was founded in 2000. The name derives from the term monomania and the word Incorporated .


Band History

The early days

The band was founded in 2000 by Miky Mono (Lead Vocals, Bass), Carl Fornia (Guitars) and Martin Engler (Drums). From 2000 to 2003 the band played small shows in bars, and outside their home covering other artist's music. In 2003 when the band decided to start making their own music, they hired Manuel Antoni as the bass player. That same year they released their debut album Head Under Water and was self-released. In 2004 when the band signed with NoCut records, they re-released the album with new artwork. Two singles were released from the album: "Burn Me" and "Superman"

In 2006 during the production of their second album Temple Of The Torn, Martin Engler fired Miky Mono for causing drama. Martin Engler then went from being the drummer to the new lead vocalist. Soon after, backstage at a Depeche Dode concert, and found Katha Mia. She soon became the new drummer. 5 of the 11 songs from Temple Of The Torn were recorded prior to Miky's departure. When Katha joined, they were all re-recorded and writing resumed.

This was followed by the band's third album Pain, Love & Poetry which came out in 2008. The album contains three songs from their debut Head Under Water in new versions, accompanied by a single release, which consists of a duet with Lisa Middelhauve (Xandria).

From 2003 to 2009 the band was mainly a supporting band, opening up for more popular bands. It wouldn't be until 2009 when the band was issued their first headlining tour. In 2009, Mono Inc. released their 4th album Voices Of Doom which became their biggest release at that time. It was successfull that NoCut gave them their first headling tour, the 'Voices Of Doom Tour' which went from 2009-2010.

The bands toured in 2009 with Subway to Sally and ASP and played at more than 40 concerts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

On March 18, 2011, Mono Inc. released their 5th album Viva Hades. It was followed by another headlining tour, the 'Viva Hades Tour', which also included appearances in Austria and Switzerland for the second time, as well as guest appearances on major scene festivals such as the [ [M'era Luna Festival]]. T

After a label change to SPV / Rookies & Kings In august on 2012, the band released their 6th album After The War which includes the title song which is of Gary Moore's songs from 1989; Moore released the album also under the same name. The song From the Ashes was performed at the world championship boxing match in cruiserweight between Yoan Pablo Hernández and Troy Ross on 15 September 2012 in the Brose Arena in Bamberg at invasion of Hernández performed live. The album was supported by the 'After The War Tour'.

The 7th album Nimmermehr was released on August 9, 2013. The album gained some controversy from the song 'Kein Weg Zu Weit' because the song is about domestic abuse as well as in the video. The album was supported by the 'Nimmermehr Tour'.

In August of 2014, the band released their 8th album The Clock Ticks On 2004-2014 which is a double ablum. The first disc titled 'The Clock Ticks On' is a 16 track best of compilation. The second disc titled 'Alive & Acoustic' is a 16 previously released music re-recorded acoustically and/or piano. The only new song created for the album is a song called 'Twice In Life' which served as the second singe. The first being 'Gothic Queen'. The album was supported by the 'The Clock Ticks On Tour' in 2014 and the 'Alive & Acoustic Tour' in 2015.

In May of 2015 the band then released their 9th album Terlingua to much success. The album so far has spawned 5 successful singles. The band is currently on their 'Terlingua Tour'.
