Parakai Aerodrome is a General Aviation (GA) airfield on the North Western edge of Auckland, New Zealand, close to Parakai and Helensville towns at the southern end of the Kaipara Harbour.

GPS: S36 39.06 E174 26.00

Elevation: 6 ft

Runway 07 / 25: 800m x 7m of hard rolled limestone.

ICAO identifer: NZPI.

Available for General Aviation use.

Services: Hangar sites, Hangar storage, Overnight parking, Fuel, Regular maintenance and Major overhauls, ARAs, Introductory flights, Pilot training, Courtesy car for visiting aviators.

Circuit direction: 07 Left hand, 25 Right hand. Circuit altitude 1000 ft.

Radio: 119.1 mhz (unattended). For safety reasons all aircraft using the airfield are required to have a radio, or be accompanied by a radio ship that makes calls for both.

Caution: High ground to the east. Mandatory turn on reaching the river after take-off runway 07.

Situation: NZPI is an Auckland airfield accessible using the relatively uncomplicated airspace and reporting points of Auckland's West Coast. Being at sea level it usually remains open even in humid northerly 'warm front' conditions.
