Hello, I agree with you that it is a bit weird to post a page on oneself. I agree that this is an autobiography, but there is absolutely no personal statements, but only facts, duly documented. I didn't do it in the French Wikpedia because I felt that it was not necessary. The fact is that, as an astrophysicist, I have achieved some major achievements (discovery of the Uranus Rings, for instance), and many of my US colleagues have asked me to give details on who I am: when you inquire Wikipedia about the Neptune's rings, my name appears but most of my US colleagues do not really know which Bouchet it is (we are a few with that name). The same also occurs for other astrophysical topics. Clearly, I could have asked some of my collaborators to submit this page, but it would have been very hypocrite and false. I am aware that many good scientists do not have references in Wikipedia. But I also know that many, not as good, do have, and they certainly do not deserve it (how did they get it, that is a mystery?). Anyway, I sincerely believe that it would not be a shame for Wikipedia to present a page which explains who is the discoverer of the Neptune's ring, who has conducted all the infrared observations of Supernova SN 1987A (which was THE astronomical event of the millennium), and why a minor planet holds my name, as does an observatory in Cuenca de Los Andes (Ecuador). However, no fight, no harm, no pain... I would not kill myself if you do not feel the same and I would endorse your decision. This being said, I could modify/edit this page according to your recommendations.I would even let you do it for me, suppressing what you would find inadequate. You must recognize that I have given plenty of references (and I can give much more). Anyway, once again, be sure that I will follow your instructions and respect your decision... All the best, Patrice Bouchet
