Alan Miles
Appearance
Alan Miles [1] is an English computer scientist. He worked for Sinclair Research as a Mid-East Manager and founded Miles Gordon Technology (MGT)[2] with fellow ex-Sinclair colleague Bruce Gordon.
With success in DISCiPLE and +D floppy drive interfaces for the ZX Spectrum line of computers, Miles and Gordon designed the Sam Coupé computer.[3]
When MGT went into receivership in 1990, Miles and Gordon bought the assets to form Sam Computers. That company folded in 1992, and Alan Miles returned to the Persian Gulf. In 2011, he returned to Cambridge, UK after 30 years in the Middle East.
Miles is the author of The Lebanese Troubles, a novel available as an e-book.[4]
