Nisreen Shocair (born 1973) is an American business executive of Jordanian decent. She is a TV personality and President of Virgin Megastore Middle East and North Africa[1]. moved at an early age with her family to Lagos, Nigeria where her father owned a pharmaceutical company[2]. Nisreen currently holds MBA from London Business School and MBA from Columbia University in New York[3]

Career

Nisreen has held various positions within the music publishing, licensing, digital entertainment and retail industries at Sony Music, Bertelsmann AG and Hearst Entertainment in New York, USA.

In 2006, Nisreen joined Virgin Megastore Middle East And North Africa, a division of Azadea Group Holding, and led the transformation of the brand from its traditional music and movies outlet to a 360 lifestyle destination, synonymous with youth, trend, entertainment, and culture. Under her new direction, the corporation has grown both vertically and horizontality

throughout the Arab World[4].

In 2012, Shocair appeared in The Entrepreneur[5], a reality TV show produced by Du as the judge. Nisreen is on the advisory board of several digital and environmental start-ups. She is a YPO and YAL member and is a frequent guest lecturer on innovation and product development.
