Nassuvan meaning a person who plays blow instrumental music, are a community found in India whose traditional occupation is not that of barbers, but Musician and Priest in the Hindu temples known as Nayee Brahmin* in the North India. Historically Nasuvan are grouped under the Parobogari, Pandithar, Maruthuvar, Valakkatiya Nair both in Tamilnadu and of the Kerala State. They are also known as Navidan, Nasuvan, Nasavan, and Nosivan. They are known also in Tamil Nadu as Pandithar, Vaithiyar/Vaidyar both in the North India. and in Andhra, though sometimes are named as Mangali. Manggalavad in the state of Andra Paradesh.
