Template:New unreviewed article “Crimson Delight” is an apple cultivar and is a cross of a splendor with a gala. Apple King LLC of Yakima, Washington is the registered trademark holder of the name “Crimson Delight.” [1] The apple was previously known as the “WA 2.”

The “Crimson Delight” is a multi-purpose apple perfect for snacking, baking and fresh recipes. The fruit size is medium to large with a firm texture and is crisp and juicy. The skin is an orange red to pinkish blush over a limited yellow background.[2]

Harvested in the fall the flavor peaks as it is stored for a couple months or more. The apple stores exceptionally well and ripens further if set out on a counter for a few days to a week.
