Rock for Light is the third full-length album from hardcore punk & reggae pioneers Bad Brains. It was produced by Ric Ocasek of The Cars.

The album contains a number of re-recorded songs from the band's self-titled second album, released the previous year, as well as a number of new hardcore punk and reggae tracks. It would be the last Bad Brains album to exclusively feature only these two styles of music, as the band would eventually experiment with funk, soul, and heavy metal.

It would be the band's last album for three years as the Bad Brains would break up after its release for the first of several times throughout their career.

Kurt Cobain would often include this album in his "favorite albums" lists in his Journals.
