Wini McQueen is an American artist born in Neptune, New Jersey and grew up in Durham, North Carolina. She currently resides in Macon, Georgia. Her artistic production consists on hand dyed accessories and narrative quilts. Her techniques for her well-known quilts inculde a image transfering process. In her work, she tackles issues of race, class, society, and women. In her oeuvre, WiniwRaps is the named she coined for the combination of her accessory and fabric enterprise.
