Ricardo Karam is a television presenter, producer, and talk-show host.[1][2] He has created several documentary series and founded RK Productions, which has taken charge of producing all his talkshows and documentaries, and TAKREEM[3][4] an organization aimed at rewarding outstanding Arabs in their respective fields[5] in the hopes of inspiring future achievements.[6]

Career

Ricardo is the founder of his own production/consulting company and the presenter of most of his shows. He started in the media at 18, by hosting a radio series called Chroniques Radio (Radio Chronicles) from 1987 till 1990. He went on to create a current affairs radio show called Clin d’œil (Blink of an eye), which aired from 1991 to 1992. He made his TV debut in 1992 and his hobby became his living.[7] He produced several talk-shows and documentary series in Arabic, English and French.[8][9][10] Karam founded Takreem in 2010 as an organization aiming to promote good ethics in Arabs by honouring those who excel in their fields and are philanthropic.[11][12]

Karam has written Privileged Encounters (2000). in which he reviews his interviews with prominent guests between 1996 and 2000. In 2005, he published Le Paris Libanais in which he discusses 30 years of history taking place between France and Lebanon, with the Lebanese conflict and civil war looming in the background[13]
