Iris Hauser is a Canadian artist and painter. She was born in 1956 in Cranbrook, British Columbia and studied at both the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and the University of Saskatchewan in the 1970's. Hauser has since taught at the Mendel Art Gallery and at the University of Saskatchewan's Certificate of Art and Design program. She is best known for her use of narrative and symbolism within portrait paintings. Hauser has also served on the board of CARFAC Saskatchewan and acted as a juror for the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils. She currently resides in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. [1]
