Shelby GT350R-C

As with previous production-based Mustang race cars, Multimatic Engineering was engaged by Ford Performance to develop a complete turn-key competition version of the S550 Shelby GT350R. The resulting competition derivative, the GT350R-C, features safety equipment and roll-over protection homologated to FIA and IMSA specifications; Bosch MS5.0 ECU and ABS controller; MoTeC instrumentation and datalogging; adjustable anti-roll bars and Multimatic DSSV spool-valve dampers. [1]

Though delayed until the third race of the 2015 season[2], the GT350R-C was successful right away, earning pole position for its first race appearance[3], and winning in its second outing[4], with three wins overall in the car’s first season[5].

Success continued into the 2016 season, with a 1-2 at the season-opening Daytona round with privateer team C360R finishing behind factory-supported Multimatic Motorsports' sole entry[6].
