Yutaka Tani (谷 豊 Tani Yutaka, Malay: Mohd Ali bin Abdullah; October 6, 1911- March 17, 1942), was a bandit who was active in Malaya. He was born in Minami ward Fukuoka, and moved to Malaya with his family where he became a bandit known as Harimau (Malay word for "Tiger"). He later became Secret Agent for the Imperial Japanese Army. He died in Singapore where he is buried at the at the Japanese Cemetery Park [1]. His life story has been depicted in novels and in the films Marai no Tora[2] and Harimau.
