Username swfowkes is Steven Wm. Fowkes. I'm not sure why anybody would want to know this on Wikipedia. I do not use Wikipedia as a source for high quality information. I use it like I use other biased sources--to gain perspective on controversial issues. Just as Reason Magazine and Mother Jones are orthogonal perspectives, Wikipedia provides mainstream information on health, nutrition, alternative medicine, functional medicine, etc. that is heavily censored by people who I consider to be conservatives (psychologically resistant to new information and new ideas) or skeptics (not the tolerant and open minded kind of skeptic). After witnessing several examples of illogic and prejudice in such editing (censoring) practices by entrenched (privileged) editors, I have given up hope that Wikipedia can be salvaged (reformed). So I go elsewhere for the other side of the story. But, while using Wikipedia, I occasionally add information or balance bias for the benefit of fellow travelers who may be looking for the same kinds of information that I seek here. Disambiguation entries, correcting GHB factoids, clarifying mistaken technical terms, and filling in conceptual vacancies. But if anybody does run across this page, feel free to write, call, email or Skype me if you have anything to say.
