The Destruction of Dresden is a book by David Irving that describes the firebombing of Dresden in World War II. It was used as a source for the novel Slaughterhouse Five. The author has been thoroughly discredited, and the basis of his work on Dresden in particular - see a legal judgement on this matter at http://www.hdot.org/sec_xiii.asp#13.116.
