Why does EMD SD59MX redirect to this page? Shouldn't Sd59mx be moved to EMD SD59MX and Sd59mx redirect to it? Takeshita kenji (talk) 11:53, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
I have suggested a merger with EMD SD32ECO. Has the EMD SD32ECO been sold to any other companies besides Union Pacific? If so, there might be a case for keeping this article specifically for the UP locomotives. Biscuittin (talk) 08:55, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
The SD32ECO is the official EMD designation for what UP designates the SD59MX. As the SD32ECO has only been done by UP, the articles should be combined. A note about UP's designation for the loco would be needed in the SD32ECO article, though. (Bbvision12 (talk) 18:55, 14 September 2012 (UTC))
