The Government Engineering College, Bhuj (GECB) was established in 1994 to give higher education in engineering and technology. The institute is recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and the Institute of Engineers (India). The college is administered by the Directorate of Technical Education, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar, and is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU).

DEPARTMENTS The college offers seven undergraduate courses leading to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degrees (number of seats in brackets):

chemical engineering (60), civil engineering (120), electrical engineering (120), electronics and communication (120), environment engineering (60), mechanical engineering (120), mining engineering (120).

The college also offers two postgraduate courses leading to Master of Engineering (M.E.) degrees (number of seats in brackets):

electrical engineering (18) I.C.engine and automobile engineering (18).
