Mormons in Switzerland

Mormons in Switzerland or Mormonen in der Schweiz

Introduction

As in France and other nearby countries, LDS or "mormon" missionaries have been active in Switzerland[1] as far back as 1850.[2]

Individuals

One well known person from Switzerland was Hans Ringger.[3] He was born in 1925, in Zurich. He became a leader of the LDS chruch in Switzerland, and eventually a "general authority" for the LDS church.

Another who served in Switzerland was Stephen Nadauld and his wife. They were missionaries from America, however.

Prior to the service of Mr. Nadauld, was Douglass Bischoff. He served as Mission President for the former Zurich Switzerland LDS mission. [4]
