Magdala Amateurs F.C. is an English football club based in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire. The club is one of the oldest amateur football clubs in Nottinghamshire having been formed in 1904. The club played in the FA Amateur Cup in the 1930s.[1] The club now plays in the Nottinghamshire Senior League Premier Division having secured promotion from Division One in the 2015/16 season. Magdala, nicknamed 'The Budgies' by their fans play their home games behind ROKO Health Club on Wilford Lane in West Bridgford.

Season 2015-16

After a troubled 2014-15 season, Manager Matthew 'Haribo' Harrington once again took up the challenge of restoring Magdala to their rightful place in the Premier Division of the Nottinghamshire Senior League. 'Haribo' used his extensive years of propping up the back bar of The Southbank Bar in West Bridgford to good use, as he was busier than Harry Redknapp during pre-season, recruiting the players needed to challenge for promotion. The hard work paid off as Magdala finished in 3rd place and was rewarded with promotion back to the Premier Division. At the end of season awards evening, Haribo informed the club that he was stepping away from management to concentrate on his promising golf career. Harrington remains with the club as a member of its committee.
