Ivelisse Prats Ramírez

23 July 1931.[1] Ivelisse Prats was the first woman in Latin America to be elected president of a political party.[2] 1982-86 Secretary of State of Education, Culture and Public Worship Dra. Ivelisse Prats Ramirez de Pérez President of the Partido Revolucionario Dominicana 1982-83 and later Vice-President of the party among others in 2004.[3] She lost of her mother at 17.[4]
