Saadia Sehar Haidari Journalist (Born in Lahore, Pakistan. She was a person who started the photo and video journalism in the Pakistan. She was a diligent and most talented artist. She was like her grandfather Mohammad Bakhsh Bhatti who was a very famous photographer in Pakistan.[1]
Saadia Sehar Haidari is now a prominent journalist working for Geo Independent Media.[2]
Saadia Sehar’s is more notably known for her husband covering a story in Afghanistan for Reuters and on November 17, 2001 despite her warnings, he travelled from Pakistan to the Jalalabad province.[3]
As her husband and other of foreign journalists made their way to Kabul, their convoy was ambushed. Aziz, her husband of five years, and father to her two young children, was killed.[3]
After the death of her husband and as a single mother, Saadia has worked to become a prominent photojournalist in the Pakistan over the past decade.
Her husband Azizullah Haidari was a photographer as well and also a correspondent from the Reuters news. He was killed by Talibans on November 19, 2001, when he was visiting Afghanistan with his colleagues.[1]
She’s has worked with organizations including Nikhar, a local urdu weekly, the INP news agency, UNICEF and the Xinhua News agency.[3]
