This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Hrm0815 (talk | contribs) at 01:35, 13 November 2016 (started writing article). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Cordelia J. Stanwood (1 August 1865 - 20 November 1968) was an American ornithologist. She was also known for her wildlife photography. One of her great achievements was the creation of Birdsacre Sanctuary. Before being known as an ornithologist and nature photographer, Cordelia was a teacher and principle. She taught both grammar and art during her lifetime.

Cordelia was born to a prosperous merchant's daughter and a sea-captain.

For the article I will edit, I have picked a woman by the name of Cordelia J. Stanwood. Her article is not yet developed. At least, I cannot seem to find her in Wikipedia. She was a birdwatcher, as I have found out through Google searches. This link http://www.birdsacre.com/cordie.html has helped me a great deal with understanding who she was. However, I will look for more reliable, scholarly sources when editing the article.
