Bonejangles is the name of a character from the 2005 stop-motion animated film, "Corpse Bride", directed by Tim Burton and Mike Johnson. Bonejangles's name comes from the name "Bojangles", as in "Mr. Bojangles".

Bonejangles, voiced by musician Danny Elfman(who also happened to compose all of the music for the film), is a skeleton who wears a bowler hat and has one eyeball, actually isn't a major character in the film; he was, however, shown in certain advertisements for it and sang the second song, "Remains of the Day". The lyrics of this song are very important, as they expain the death of Emily(aka, the "Corpse Bride").

Bonejangles has few speaking lines in the film, which include an introduction to his song and a comment he makes to a woman running away from him in fear("I love a woman with meat on her bones!"). He is also heard chattering right before the Corpse Bride's wedding.

Trivia

  • Danny Elfman, who voices Bonejangles, is not credited for this role in the opening credits. He is, however, listed in the cast in the end credits.
  • Elfman also does the singing voice of Jack in "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Jack is also a skeleton.
  • Bonejangles's name goes unsaid throughout the whole movie. The viewer only knows his name from a sign that is in the Land of the Dead.

Note:Information about Bonejangles can also be found in "Corpse Bride".
