The project examines how European concepts were discursively adopted in Asian and Middle Eastern societies between 1860 and 1945.

In the course of this project at the department of Islamic studies and Middle Eastern languages (Abteilung für Islamwissenschaft und Nahostsprachen) at the Institute for Oriental and Asian Studies at the University of Bonn it is the objective to take the first step towards further research by gathering the scattered source material and making it digitally accessible in the digital collections of the ULB Bonn.

Furthermore, I want to further the reach by publishing articles on Wikipedia and would be grateful for any feedback.
