Overview
Wowcher Ltd is a British e-commerce marketplace connecting millions of subscribers in the UK and Ireland with local merchants by offering activities, travel, dining out, goods and services.
It is an online marketplace serving product and services to 52 cities around the UK and Ireland. Founded in 2010 and bought in 2011 by DMG Media, Wowcher has grown to have a user-base of roughly 10 million members. It is a 'deal-of-the-day sales websites' similar to Groupon. [1]
Groupon.co.uk, Wowcher.co.uk and Barclaycard’s Bespoke Offers (bespokeoffers.co.uk) were gaining traction in the UK online sales market, but the latter two have had there value for money questioned at times in 2014.[1]
