Some precissions 1.- Toady who discovers the bananas is not Mertons (Wally Cox), but Roger (John Ritter), who was Francis Willbanks's nephew.
2.- First goal of UBC executives, when discover that chimp understands the TV, is to steal to take advantage of it. Crampton says "Willbanks, I want that ape". Willbanks and Mertons try to steal it, because of that, and after willbanks goes bananas when falling from top floor of building, he starts screaming that the chimp was the genius.
