Nela Arias-Misson

Nela Arias-Misson born 1925 in Havana Cuba was an abstract expressionist painter. She studied at Traphagens and Parsons in New York City. [1] She also studied at the Hans Hofmann School in New York City. (1) She moved to Ibiza in 1961 and developed her own style. Always at the epicenter of developing artistic movements, she was close with Mark Rothko, Karel Appel, Walasse Ting and Antoni Tapies amongst others. [2]
