Career

Youth

Prior to college, Tim DiBisceglie played with US Olympic Development team at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL in 2008 and 2009, and was named team captain in 2010.[1]

In high school, DiBisceglie was a four-year starter in the midfield for the Gill St. Bernard’s Knights in Gladstone, NJ where he completed his career as the Knight’s 8th all-time scorer in the school’s history and was All-State, All-Conference, All-Area, All-County, All-Prep and All-Non Public.[2]

College

DiBisceglie attended the University of Scranton, where he was a four-year starter for the Royals. Scoring eight times in 73 appearances, while also recording 11 assists, he was named to the NSCAA’s All-Landmark Conference First Team in 2015 and was All-Conference again in 2016.[3]. He was ranked #7 nationally amongst all players in the 2016 NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament for most shots per game.

While in college, DiBisceglie doubled as a midfielder for the Electric City Shock SC in the National Professional Soccer League playing 20 matches during the Shock’s 2015 and 2016 campaigns. In 2016, he was nominated to represent the NPSL’s Northeastern Conference at the Los Angeles NPSL combine in January 2017, even though he missed the last month of the NPSL season while on loan to FK Vítkovice in the Czech Republic National Football League.

Professional

DiBisceglie’s first experience professionally occurred in Scotland while on trial with Kilmarnock FC in the Scottish Premier League in 2011.[4] Arranged by former Welsh footballer and Swansea player, Glan Letheren, the successful trial was cut off by DiBisceglie’s inability to obtain a work-visa to the UK. He did however play centre back for Kilmarnock subbing on in the 35th minute of a match versus Everton F.C. on August 6, 2011.[5]

On July 4, 2016, DiBisceglie, was offered a professional contract from FK Vítkovice of the Czech Republic’s National Football League. On July 9, 2016, he started and played the full match in Vítkovice’s win over Sigma Olomouc. [6]

On March 16, 2017, Tim DiBisceglie signed a professional soccer contract to play for the Philadelphia Atoms of the American Soccer League. The ASL’s split 2017 season runs April through June in the spring, then August through November in the fall. DiBisceglie and the Atoms are also scheduled to play three friendly matches in Europe this year.

Personal life

DiBisceglie was born in Denville, New Jersey to Bruce and Kathy DiBisceglie. Off the pitch, he coaches handicapped children and is a certified USSF referee. Tim majored at the University of Scranton in Primary Childhood Education and minored in Coaching.
