Tandem Bank was a licensed UK bank.[1]

Tandem Bank was licensed by the UK banking regulators, the Prudential Regulatory Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority on November 30, 2015.[2]

Tandem Bank is a mobile-first full service retail bank, serving customers through direct channels: Web, Mobile, Contact Center.[3]

Tandem Bank was founded by Ricky Knox, Matt Cooper and Michael Kent in 2013.[4]

EBay founder Pierre Omidyar invested in Tandem in early 2016. Other investors include eVentures and Route 66 Ventures.[5]

Tandem was established and built by the team in conjunction with a group of customers which the bank calls "co-founders". Tandem made its invite only co-founder group public in April 2016 [6] Tandem further brought its customers into the creation of the business by opening a crowdfunding round in May 2016[7]
