Repeated insertion of spurious material at Debate over a British Independence Day observed in the United Kingdom

I have raised concerns at the WikiProject Politics of the United Kingdom talk page about the repeated insertion of spurious material at Debate over a British Independence Day observed in the United Kingdom and thought this may be of interest to this project also. Thought this book (collection of articles) might be in the scope for this WikiProject. --Kakurady (talk) 15:23, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Brexit task force?

The work of this WikiProject in the next two years and much of the news relating to the EU in the next two years will be focused on Brexit - aka, the UK's withdrawal from the EU. Can I propose that this WikiProject creates a Brexit task force to deal with this? It will allow us to focus efforts in the editing process and to ensure relevant articles are maintained to a high standard. This process will affect all members of the EU, as well as the UK, so it is more appropriate as a task force of this WikiProject, as opposed to another such as Politics of the United Kingdom. Does anyone have any thoughts on this idea? --Andrewdwilliams (talk) 17:46, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I do think that this is a good idea. JASpencer (talk) 07:58, 10 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright reform is a threat to Wikipedia

I am not from the EU (I am a Canadian OpenMedia supporter), but I heard that EU copyright reform proposals are a threat to Wikipedia. Article 11 would create new neighbouring rights for press publishers, which failed in Germany and Spain and has been dubbed a link tax, and here's the biggest threat to Wikipedia: Article 13, a proposal which could force Wikipedia to censor images in case they are copyright infringement, according to German Pirate Party MEP Julia Reda. A new thread just came out, with Wikipedia:EU copyright reform, to raise further awareness about these proposals. They are a threat to the Internet not just in the EU, but worldwide. --Mrs. Jan Cola (talk), 01:34, 22 April 2017
