Sahid Rangasala (सहिद रंगशाला) is a biggest stadium of Eastern Development Region, Nepal. It has a capacity of 10,000 spectators. There are 3 main door to enter inside it. Now, its parafit and covered hall is being re-constructed. It is hosted the opening ceremony ofSeventh National Games (Nepal) on Poush 8 or December 23. It is Nepal's third highest capacity stadium and highest capacity stadium of Purwanchal. It is the home of Morang F.c. . It is one of the popular stadium in Nepal. Many functions are organised such as krisi mela etc.
Sahid Rangasala is going to be developed into International Stadium. It is only the football stadium of nepal ,has closed parafit and could be developed into International Stadium. For the renovation of this ground government allocated 8.7 Millions rupees budget from sports ministry. It is also said that the stadium is going to host some games of SAAF Games of 2019 A.D.
Facilities
There are many facilities given to the spectators. There are 3 main doors to enter and go outside. There is VIP seats too for spectators. It can hold 10,000 spectators at once.
History
The stadium has organised Mahendra gold cup for the first time in 1961 A.D. It is going to held the opening ceremony of Seventh National Games by the president of Nepal, Bidhya Devi Bhandari.
Seventh National Games
This stadium hosted the opening ceremony of seventh national games. It couldn't host the football matches of seventh national games because the stadium was not in proper condition. Covered Hall nearby it hosted some indoor games such as Table Tennis, Karate, and etc. During seventh national game opening ceremony the stadium was made beautiful like Queen.
