Can somebody confirm why the following does not apply in this case:

All full professors at major research universities have sufficiently demonstrated that they are recognized experts in their subject to meet WP:PROF,and that WP:PROF is an alternative to WP:GNG. This is not a formal rule, but almost all AfD have had this result, except in fields where people here have doubts about the rigor, such as Education. (Major: in the US, Research Extensive in the Carnegie Classification + schools of similar rank; elsewhere, similar level). The rationale for this is that this is the basis on which people are promoted to such rank at such universities, and their judgment is more reliable than ours.) For those at lower level institutions, this is not automatic, and the judgment goes by individual cases; the rationale is that in such institutions people are often promoted to this rank based on lesser accomplishments or for other qualities than being a recognized expert in their subject.

I will look to do some further amendments over the next few days.Ananke83 (talk) 17:45, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Further queries / comments: 1. As an example of in-depth coverage of Chiesa's work, see Slavoj Zizek's "Disparities" (Bloomsbury, 2016), pp. 348-362.

Chiesa is also mentioned on the back cover of the book along with Brandom, Pippin, Zupancic, Johnston, Malabou, Kristeva, Shakespeare, Schiller, and Beckett.
