Dr. Sheryl Kennedy-Haydel (SherylKHaydel), a proud native New Orleanian, is an assistant professor at Xavier University of Louisiana. Dr. Kennedy-Haydel is a passionate teacher. Her scholarship focuses on the Black College Press, Public Relations/Strategic Communications, the evolution of Mass Communication and social media. She earned her Ph.D. in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, a MBA in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, a MA in public affairs reporting from the University of Maryland in College Park, and a BA in Mass Media arts (print journalism) from Clark Atlanta University in Georgia.
